We all love Air Jordan 1 sneakers and have for over thirty years.

From the fantastic and fun colorways that they consistently roll out, to the comfort and stability that make these shoes easy to wear just about anywhere, the Nike Air Jordan 1 has been a favorite for fashion-forward fans as well as those who need a truly functional shoe.

No matter what time of year a new Air Jordan 1 product rolls out, it seems as though friends and fans can't wait to get their hands on the next style.

But now, Nike has given us something to really get wild about!

Air Jordan 1 Centre Court

Introducing the Air Jordan 1 Centre Court!

When the Air Jordan 1 first made its debut back in 1985, Michael Jordan introduced them by wearing them onto the Chicago Bulls' basketball court.

But in 2019, Jordan introduced a new model of the Air Jordan 1 that really shook things up and sparked a real frenzy among Air Jordan 1 fans.

During his guest appearance on the ESPN documentary, The Last Dance, Jordan wore the shoes, claiming that his love for tennis shoes was just as great as his love for basketball ones.

After the program, the shoe - now known as the Air Jordan 1 Centre Court - became a huge hit, selling out almost immediately after its initial launch in December of that same year.

What's the Hype Around the Air Jordan 1 Centre Court?

So what's all the excitement about a shoe that's been around for decades when there's so many other styles and brands to choose from?

For starters, the Air Jordan 1 Centre Court gives a whole new look to the classic Air Jordan 1 sneakers that we are used to seeing roll out from Nike every season.

Jordan had always been partial to the Air Jordan I Low style and traditional tennis court shoes.

Knowing this, the design team at Nike began working on a shoe that would combine the casual ease of a tennis shoe with the form and function of the Air Jordan 1 Low.

The result is a clean, classic shoe made of high quality materials and a modern twist.

The Air Jordan I Centre Court features the typical premium leather upper that is found in all Air Jordan 1 sneakers.

But instead of the traditional leather colorways on top of it, the Air Jordan 1 Centre Court is designed with suede accents at the heel and at the tongue to give these kicks a more refined look than their predecessors.

On the other hand, the supportive sole is still found in the heel, just like the regular Air Jordan 1 shoes, making the Air Jordan 1 Centre Court just as comfortable as they are fashionable.

As for that Wings logo that is found on every pair of Air Jordan 1 sneakers?

It is proudly stamped on the back of the shoe heel and wraps around the sides, giving it yet more style and subtle distinction.
