In fact, the Nike Air Jordan line of shoes hasn’t been shy about using patent leather in a number of their styles, ever since they first debuted it back in 1996.

Before the Air Jordan 1, Black and Metallic Gold was first released, the patent leather was seen on sneakers released in 1996, 2001, and in 2013.

That said, the Air Jordan 1 Black and Metallic Gold has got to be one of the coolest and classiest uses of the patent leather material that we have seen yet.

For starters, it’s hard to not notice the gorgeous black and metallic gold patent leather mid panel of this cool shoe.
