Nike decided to release it to only select Air Jordan 1 retailers, keeping the air of intrigue high as well as the demand.

That said, Nike has confirmed that there will be more release dates coming and that the A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 1 isn't riding into the sunset quite yet.

Some critics have gone to the mat over the A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 1, saying that they are still unclear on what all the excitement is surrounding this sneaker. They claim that it's an impractical shoe for regular wear and that the Nike A Ma Maniere is more gimmicky than any Air Jordan 1 ever released.

But for the thousands who have either bought the shoe, or are still waiting to, there is nothing gimmicky about the A Ma Maniere.

The Packaging

The first thing that buyers of the A Ma Maniere notice that is unique about this particular Air Jordan 1 High OG is the packaging in which it arrives.

And that Burgundy Crush gives more depth to the shoe, as it also shows up on the quilted inner lining which serves as a soft sock liner, an excellent choice of materials for a shoe like this one.

Another excellent choice is the almost metallic-looking Burgundy Crush laces, which give off a nice, subtle shine, another creative way to class up this shoe even more.

Of course, the A Ma Maniere would not be an Air Jordan 1 original without the inside of the collar flap sporting the famed Michael Jordan signature with one of his now-infamous phrases, "You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them."

To top it all off, the well-known Air Jordan 1 Wings logo is emblazoned into the leather on one side of the shoe.

From the snakeskin look of the Swoosh, to the crackled leather and quilted inner lining, some would say this shoe is over the top for an Air Jordan 1 High OG.
